Our Family Story

At a young age, brother and sister, Doctors Luis Gomara and Damaris Gomara-Salcines were exposed to helping others. Their father was an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and all of his children followed in his footsteps by becoming doctors as well. In the early 90’s, Luis and Damaris graduated together from Boston University Dental School. A year later, they started their first small dental practice in South Florida with a single chair provided by a local medical doctor. They continuously worked hard under the guidance of other dentists in order to gain the experience they would need to eventually open their own practice one day.

They eagerly opened their practice based on a shared vision and passion to care for others,knowing that dental health was a core ingredient to people’s overall health.

Because of their strong family values, they chose to pass the same principles of compassion and love in their personal lives onto their practice, welcoming patients as part of their extended family. Having come from a long line of doctors, the siblings specifically opened their clinics with a family inspired feel, taking into consideration the importance of comfort and trust with each visit.

Today, Doctors Luis and Damaris Gomara-Salcines are recognized for the dental health care services they offer to the public, which remains above the standard of care. Beyond monetary purposes, they are committed to seeing members of their community strive, occasionally accepting patients who have very little money and can’t afford certain procedures. They have also provided complimentary treatments alongside charities to help deserving people and families as much as possible.

As the practice continued to grow it has evolved into Family Plus Dental Centers which now services patients throughout South Florida. The primary focus remains on you, our patient… our extended family.
